Elizabeth Garcia was born in Havana-Cuba, immigrated to Miami, FL with her family when she was only two months old and never left.  Mother of two beautiful daughters, she graduated from FIU with a criminology degree and has served in the capacity of Executive Director for the Hialeah Community Coalition (HCC) since 2013.  Elizabeth is a grassroots community leader and has worked in the city of Hialeah for over 30 years helping youth grow up safe, healthy, drug and alcohol free by educating parents, youth and community on the harms and effects of underage drinking and drug misuse.  She is committed to prevention, change and providing solutions for healthy lifestyle choices.  Elizabeth is continuing to engage communities and government in dialogue to create policy change for healthier and stronger communities. She has always been committed to education, empowerment, and the fostering of viable solutions for our youth to be healthy and safe.  She is an active board member of the City of Hialeah Cultural Affairs Council since 2019.  Elizabeth is a powerful voice in the Hialeah community and will continue to blaze trails and advocate for families and youth to decrease underage drinking and drug misuse.
